With the new year right around the corner, I am excited to announce to the beginning of the Massachusetts Employee Rights Blog. Stated simply, the purpose of this blog is to inform employees and workers throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts of their workplace rights. In an ever developing and changing area of the law, it is important for employees to know exactly what rights they have when they go to work each day.
This blog will focus on critical issues related to employee rights, including issues related to employee wages, employment discrimination, employment retaliation, independent contractor vs. employee status issues, overtime wages, meal break issues, whistleblower claims, commission and bonus issues, and typical employment agreements such as non-competition agreements, severance agreements, non-solicitation agreements and other related agreements.
